Juan Rodriguez earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Otis Parsons and has been developing his artistic vision for over two decades. A transnational artist living between Baja California, Mexico, and Southern California, Rodriguez has explored a wide range of styles and themes, evolving into his current focus of oil on canvas.
His influences span from the surrealism of Salvador Dalí, the raw emotional intensity of Francis Bacon, and the technical brilliance of Leonardo da Vinci, to elements of psychological horror that marked his earlier, darker works. Over time, his art has transitioned from macabre, emotionally charged imagery to a vibrant exploration of coastal landscapes and expressive portraiture, reflecting both his spiritual growth and his connection to the natural world.
